About this role
Role overview Help ship connected products where hardware, mobile, and cloud must stay in agreement—covering pairing, sync, telemetry quality, and operational visibility. The role focuses on the messy reality of devices in the field: dropped networks, weak signals, and unreliable connections, and on giving field teams a single trustworthy picture of what is happening.
Responsibilities - Design and ship device connectivity and telemetry pipelines, including BLE, GPS, and MQTT-based flows. - Partner on mobile pairing, sync, and offline-aware behaviour so the product keeps working when the network does not. - Instrument device health, message reliability, and ops dashboards that surface real-time field status. - Validate behaviour under weak networks and real field conditions, including edge cases and failure modes. - Leave behind runbooks and documentation that client teams can operate after handover.
Requirements - Hands-on experience with connected devices, BLE, MQTT, or comparable protocols. - Comfort bridging firmware and hardware constraints with mobile or cloud services. - Strong debugging instincts that span device, firmware, and network layers. - Clear written English for asynchronous collaboration with distributed teams.
Benefits and work setup - Async, remote-friendly collaboration with clear written handoffs and runbooks as a first-class deliverable.
