Role overview The Director of Product Management will lead the end-to-end benefits and payments platform, spanning eligibility, enrollment, claims, reconciliation, and provider payments. The focus is on making complex operations reliable at scale, reducing manual work, and balancing shared platform priorities with client needs. The role also manages and develops product managers across benefits, payments, and enrollment.
Responsibilities - Own the product lifecycle across eligibility, enrollment, claims adjudication, payer and employer reconciliation, and provider payments. - Replace manual processes with programmatic reconciliation, self-service eligibility, and automated claims workflows that can support growing volume. - Establish a consistent framework to assess, prioritize, sequence, and route custom client requests. - Lead and mentor product managers responsible for benefits, payments, and eligibility and enrollment. - Use funnel, activation, and reconciliation data to monitor performance and communicate outcomes to client success, growth, finance, and executive teams. - Partner with engineering, design, growth, and client-facing teams to make product decisions that account for operational and customer needs.
Requirements - 10+ years of product experience, including substantial work with benefits, eligibility, claims, or payer systems in healthcare or a complex B2B2C setting. - At least 3 years managing and mentoring product managers. - A record of turning manual, error-prone operations into dependable products that work at volume. - Strong understanding of benefits data flows, from employer setup and eligibility checks through member activation. - Direct experience with claims submission, adjudication, remittance, reconciliation, and provider payments. - Strong data and instrumentation skills, plus current practical use of AI tools and judgment about applying them to improve reliability.
Benefits and work setup - Flexible hybrid work, with onsite days Tuesday through Thursday; additional quarterly in-person collaboration days apply in certain locations. - Listed base salary range: $260,000–$285,000 per year, plus equity and benefits. - Benefits include health coverage, wellness resources, paid parental leave for eligible employees, professional development support, and 401(k) matching for U.S.-based employees.
