Role overview
This is a senior-level, fully remote opportunity focused on building robotic process automation (RPA) solutions for a technology organization that supports national security missions across defense, intelligence, and federal civilian agencies. The role centers on designing, developing, and delivering tailored UiPath automations that meet evolving operational needs. It requires hands-on technical depth, cross-team collaboration, and a commitment to high-quality delivery, with occasional client-site travel possible.
Responsibilities
- Implement and modify RPA solutions using UiPath Studio, UiPath Orchestrator, REFramework, and related automation tooling - Debug complex software components and automation workflows, and conduct unit testing with stakeholder demonstrations - Collaborate with developers, testers, process owners, and other team members to deliver robust solutions - Develop and maintain technical documentation such as Process Design Documents (PDD) and Solution Design Documents (SDD) - Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - Engage directly with stakeholders and end users to gather process requirements and provide product demonstrations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Math, or a related field, plus 7+ years of comparable work experience - 5+ years of hands-on UiPath RPA development experience - UiPath certification with demonstrated proficiency - Experience working in Agile Scrum teams and applying Agile principles - Familiarity with software deployment pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps or comparable tools) - US citizenship and a current Secret-level security clearance or higher; Security Plus certification
Nice to have
- Advanced UiPath certifications or specialization in UiPath Document Understanding and AI Center - Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations, SQL queries, and custom VB.NET or C# scripts within UiPath
