Role overview This mid-level position focuses on building and integrating OneStream platform components that support mission-critical federal financial management, including planning, programming, budgeting, execution, financial close, and reporting workflows. The role sits between entry-level configuration and senior platform architecture, owning technical delivery for key modules, custom business logic, data integrations, and compliance documentation. It is a fully remote, full-time opportunity based in the United States.
Responsibilities - Design, write, test, and troubleshoot custom OneStream Business Rules (Finance, Parser, Connector, Event Rules, and Member Formulas) in VB.NET or C# to implement complex financial calculations and agency-specific business logic. - Configure and maintain Workflow Profiles, Confirmation Rules, Transformation Rules, and Data Management sequences to support financial reporting and budgeting processes, including federal budgeting standards where applicable. - Build and customize Cube Views, BI Viewer dashboards, Extensible Documents, and ad-hoc reports that surface accurate financial insights for executive and operational stakeholders. - Develop data conversion and load artifacts, SQL scripts, database views, and staging tables that streamline migration, extraction, and validation across project phases. - Support platform integrations, security model configuration, Single Sign-On setup, and technical documentation required for governance and compliance packages such as ATO. - Participate across the full SDLC, perform unit testing, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning, while flagging risks, proposing mitigations, and escalating unresolved blockers.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field. - Four or more years of experience in software engineering, systems design, database management, cloud environments, or software deployment. - Three or more years of hands-on OneStream development, or equivalent CPM/EPM platform development with a track record of successful delivery. - One or more years working with OneStream XF configuration, installation support, or optimization. - Proficiency in object-oriented programming with C# or VB.NET, plus practical SQL experience on SQL Server or Oracle. - Functional understanding of Corporate Performance Management or Federal Financial Management concepts such as consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and PPBE.
Nice to have - Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems. - OneStream Certified Specialist (Reports & Dashboards or Financial Close) or OneStream Certified Professional (Core Platform). - Hands-on experience configuring SSO and supporting federal Authority to Operate compliance. - Background in professional services or federal IT consulting. - CompTIA Security+ certification. - U.S. citizenship.
