Role overview
This fully remote, full-time role focuses on developing and supporting OneStream solutions for complex planning, budgeting, financial close, reporting, and performance-management processes. The consultant will combine platform configuration, application development, data integration, testing, and technical analysis to deliver reliable financial systems and support governance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and maintain OneStream business rules using C# or VB.NET for financial calculations and business workflows. - Configure workflow profiles, confirmation and transformation rules, and data-management sequences for budgeting and reporting processes. - Create cube views, dashboards, extensible documents, and reports that provide useful information for operational and executive decision-making. - Build and optimize data-load and conversion processes, SQL queries, database views, and staging structures for migration, extraction, and validation. - Support integrations, security configuration, single sign-on, documentation, and compliance activities, including materials associated with authorization processes. - Participate across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, configuration, unit testing, root-cause investigation, performance tuning, risk management, and issue escalation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, information systems, or a related discipline. - At least seven years of experience in software engineering, systems design, database management, cloud environments, or software deployment. - At least three years of hands-on OneStream development, or equivalent development experience with a corporate performance-management or enterprise performance-management platform. - At least one year of experience with OneStream configuration, installation support, or optimization. - Strong object-oriented programming skills in C# or VB.NET and practical SQL experience with SQL Server or Oracle. - Working knowledge of corporate or federal financial-management concepts such as consolidation, budgeting and forecasting, reconciliation, and PPBE.
Nice to have
- A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems. - OneStream certifications covering reporting, dashboards, financial close, or the core platform. - Experience with single sign-on, federal authorization and compliance processes, professional services, or federal IT consulting. - CompTIA Security+ certification.
