About this role
Role overview A senior solutions engineer role supporting the tax business unit of a performance management and analytics software provider. The position bridges sales and post-sales teams, leading pre-sales demonstrations, proof-of-concept delivery, and partner enablement for tax software solutions. The role is remote with up to 10% travel and reports to the Director of Solution Engineering.
Responsibilities - Build deep technical expertise in the tax solution, including features, benefits, and competitive positioning - Partner with sales to identify client needs and tailor presentations that map software capabilities to business challenges - Deliver compelling product demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences - Design tailored solutions and own the technical delivery of configured POCs that translate requirements into proven outcomes - Contribute to detailed proposals and RFP responses with technical accuracy and alignment to prospect needs - Gather prospect feedback to inform product development and solution enhancements - Serve as a tax subject matter expert in webinars and recorded video content used by marketing and sales
Requirements - Experience in tax roles within industry or public accounting, ideally with client-facing consulting work - Track record presenting to mixed audiences ranging from staff accountants to VP of Tax or Finance - Proficiency with tax platforms and solid understanding of tax provision, transfer pricing, and BEPS reporting requirements - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to client challenges - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Tax (Computer Science or a technical background preferred) - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Nice to have - Experience supporting a software platform in a customer-facing B2B environment - Hands-on work implementing or integrating Longview Tax or comparable tax software platforms - German language skills
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote role - UK salary range of £97,000 to £122,000 annually, with potential additional bonus eligibility for non-sales roles - Pay transparency and fair compensation practices
