About this role
Role overview
Lead the technical design and delivery of media asset management solutions for enterprise customers, from early discovery and proposal planning through implementation, testing, and launch. The work combines customer-facing architecture with hands-on configuration and integration across complex media workflows.
Responsibilities
- Lead customer discovery and translate business goals, existing systems, and constraints into a practical target architecture. - Design scalable workflows for media ingestion, processing, metadata, storage, and distribution, including integrations with broadcast and other third-party systems. - Document solution designs, integration specifications, deployment topologies, and non-functional requirements. - Implement complex components with the delivery team, including workflow configuration, scripting, and REST API integrations; support testing and commissioning through launch. - Contribute technical scoping and estimates to proposals and change requests, identify delivery risks, and guide engineers through design decisions. - Run customer workshops and knowledge transfer, review implementations, and share reusable architecture patterns and customer needs with product teams.
Requirements
- At least seven years in professional services, solutions engineering, or systems integration, including three or more years in an architecture role. - Track record designing and delivering complex enterprise IT or media workflow solutions, with experience supporting pre-sales scoping and estimation. - Strong understanding of broadcast and media workflows, media asset management, codecs, metadata, formats, and processing pipelines. - Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, web services, data modelling, and SQL-based systems. - Practical programming or scripting ability, familiarity with Linux and containers, and experience with Kubernetes and cloud architecture; AWS experience is preferred. - Ability to assess scalability, availability, performance, and security; fluent written and spoken English and German.
Nice to have
- Cloud architecture certification, observability or search tooling, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, configuration management, or architecture modelling experience.
Benefits and work setup
- International projects and a collaborative technical team, with opportunities to shape solution direction and reusable delivery practices. - Occasional travel, estimated at about 10%, for customer workshops and key project milestones.
