Role overview
Operate and improve customer applications running on Linux bare-metal servers and Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes platforms. This managed-services SRE role focuses on dependable deployments, release management, observability, troubleshooting, automation, and production support in a 24/7, SLA-driven environment. The position is remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and support applications across Linux servers and OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters in hybrid environments. - Execute CI/CD pipelines and improve release processes so deployments are repeatable, controlled, and reliable. - Build and maintain monitoring and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix. - Operate centralized logging pipelines with technologies including Grafana Loki, OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, and Fluentd or Fluent Bit. - Write Bash, Python, or JavaScript automation to simplify deployments and reduce repetitive operational work. - Participate in incident response, diagnose application and platform problems, and support scheduled nighttime deployments and on-call emergencies.
Requirements
- At least five years of Linux systems administration experience and at least five years working with Kubernetes. - Exposure to Red Hat OpenShift and experience with application servers such as JBoss or WebLogic. - Experience with monitoring tools including Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana, plus logging technologies such as Elasticsearch, Logstash, or Kibana. - Familiarity with Apache or Nginx, Ansible, basic networking, and basic SQL. - Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work effectively in live production environments. - Clear communication, ownership, initiative, teamwork, and comfort working in a fast-paced service environment.

- Remote position within the United States. - Rotating pager duty, typically for one week at a time, with night, weekend, and holiday support when emergencies require it. - Listed annual compensation is USD 80,000–90,000.
