Platform Engineer

Role overview

A high-leverage platform engineering role responsible for designing, building, and operating the internal platform and developer infrastructure that powers engineering teams serving more than one million users. The work spans cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and internal services, with a mandate to enforce infrastructure best practices as the organization scales. The ideal candidate treats the internal platform as a product, fellow engineers as users, and developer experience as the primary success metric.

Responsibilities

- Own the core engineering platform end-to-end, from cloud infrastructure and container orchestration through CI/CD and internal services. - Build and maintain developer tooling that reduces friction for engineering teams shipping product and AI systems. - Enforce infrastructure best practices, including reliability, security, and operational standards, across the platform. - Ensure the platform scales to support rapid company growth and a large, active user base. - Treat the internal platform as a product by gathering feedback from internal users and iterating on the developer experience.

Requirements

- Strong cloud and infrastructure expertise, including hands-on experience with container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines. - Product mindset applied to internal tooling, with a track record of treating developer experience as a first-class concern. - Ability to design platforms that are reliable, observable, and secure by default. - Comfort operating systems that other engineers and AI systems depend on for day-to-day work. - Skill at reducing friction for engineering teams while maintaining sound operational practices.
