Role overview Join an Agents team building infrastructure for the agentic era of computing, where developers construct, test, deploy, scale, and observe AI agents in production environments. The role centers on shaping the core abstractions and developer-facing framework that power sophisticated AI agents spanning real-time voice, text, durable workflows, and inter-agent coordination.

Responsibilities - Design and develop core functionality for an open framework used to build, test, and observe AI agents in production - Help define text-based modalities that let agents interact with users across channels such as SMS - Architect abstractions for stateful, durable agentic workflows that maintain state and coordinate work across interactions lasting minutes, hours, or longer - Shape agent-to-agent communication and delegation patterns, enabling voice agents to hand off tasks and compose into more sophisticated systems - Build simple, powerful developer APIs that sit on top of complex distributed and real-time infrastructure - Iterate quickly based on feedback from the developer community, writing clear documentation, examples, and reference implementations - Work primarily in Python and TypeScript

Requirements - Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications and agentic systems - Skill at navigating complex systems and turning that complexity into clean abstractions - Comfort reasoning about state, concurrency, and asynchronous workflows - Product-minded approach with enthusiasm for designing APIs and developer experiences - Comfortable collaborating in a remote environment

Nice to have - Experience building developer tools, frameworks, or SDKs - Interest in exploring emerging patterns in agent architecture rather than only applying established ones
