Role overview

This Analytics Engineer role sits on a small data team supporting Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market functions, owning pipelines, the warehouse, dashboards, analysis, and third-party integrations. The position is well suited to someone who wants to help shape how data is architected and consumed at a growing software company. It is remote-first and open to candidates based in North America.

Responsibilities

- Partner with Product and GTM teams to turn ambiguous questions into useful metrics, models, analyses, and workflows - Build and maintain dbt models and pipelines that produce trusted views of product usage, customers, and business performance - Design clean, maintainable data models and improve testing, documentation, performance, and reliability across the data stack - Build dashboards and self-service reporting, going deeper than a chart when the answer demands it - Operationalize data through reverse ETL and collaborate with engineering on scoring, segmentation, automations, and internal tools - Balance fast, pragmatic answers with durable solutions, recognizing when one-off requests should become reusable assets - Explore emerging tools, LLMs, and coding agents to accelerate analytics work

Requirements

- Strong SQL skills with hands-on dbt experience building production data models - Background in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related discipline - Familiarity with BI and notebook tools such as Metabase and Hex, or equivalent - Solid understanding of product and go-to-market metrics - Ability to weigh quick-turn analysis against long-term maintainability

Nice to have

- Experience applying LLMs or AI coding agents to data workflows - Prior work on a small data team at a fast-growing software company - Comfort supporting both technical and non-technical stakeholders
