Senior Software Engineer II, Mobile - Revenue Experimentation (AI Native)
Job details
About this role
Role overview Build and run mobile experiments that improve subscription, advertising, and purchase experiences in a widely used family-oriented app. You will take ideas from early hypotheses through implementation, instrumentation, staged rollout, and analysis, working closely with product, design, data science, and analytics partners. The role is Android focused, with opportunities to work across other platforms or backend systems when an experiment requires it.
Responsibilities - Develop Android features and experiments for subscription pricing and paywalls, advertising, one-time purchases, and upgrade flows. - Turn product and data findings into testable implementations, collaborate on experiment decisions, and challenge assumptions when evidence calls for it. - Use AI coding tools and agents throughout planning, implementation, testing, verification, and review; help establish practices others can reuse. - Add reliable exposure logging and analytics so experiment results can be trusted. - Maintain polished, performant, and stable experiences, paying attention to startup time, memory, battery use, crashes, and app-not-responding issues. - Manage staged launches by monitoring guardrails and deciding when to pause, roll back, or expand exposure. - Contribute to technical design, reviews, and team engineering practices.
Requirements - Senior-level software engineering experience, with strong Android development capability. - Ability to take loosely defined ideas and deliver complete, measurable experiments with appropriate safeguards. - Experience building reliable mobile experiences and attention to performance and stability. - Ability to collaborate with product and data partners, interpret experiment outcomes, and communicate technical tradeoffs. - Comfort using AI tools as part of an engineering workflow and independently checking generated work. - Willingness to work beyond Android when a project requires collaboration across platforms or services.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first role available to candidates working in the United States or Canada. - Advertised salary ranges are $118,500–$216,500 USD in the US and $171,500–$201,000 CAD in Canada; pay varies by location, experience, and qualifications. Canadian roles use a different job title. - Compensation includes equity, with medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits. - Additional benefits include retirement savings programs, paid parental leave, flexible time off, company holidays and seasonal shutdowns, learning support, and equipment or reimbursement for remote work.
