Full Stack Software Engineer – Authoring Tools (Remote, Greece or Cyprus)

Role overview Join a remote-first EdTech engineering team building the authoring tools that power online course creation for creators, educators, and organizations worldwide. This full-stack role carries a strong frontend focus, centering on Vue.js for polished, interactive authoring experiences while dipping into a PHP backend when product needs demand it. The work happens in small, autonomous engineering groups that own projects end to end and collaborate closely with product and design.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship full-stack features for the authoring tools product area, from backend logic through intuitive frontend interfaces. - Take ownership of frontend architecture in Vue.js, applying thoughtful design patterns and evolving consistent engineering practices. - Move comfortably into the PHP backend to implement services and resolve issues that span the full stack. - Collaborate closely with product managers and designers, contributing technical thinking during the design phase. - Iterate rapidly as requirements evolve, refactoring legacy areas incrementally and shaping how the tools mature. - Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of the everyday engineering workflow to move faster and raise quality.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional software development experience in complex SaaS or product environments. - Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript and Vue.js, with deep knowledge of frontend architecture, design patterns, anti-patterns, and maintainable UI development. - Working proficiency in PHP and confidence moving into backend services when needed. - Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, HTTP fundamentals, and modern frontend application architecture. - Hands-on experience with both relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB). - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage shifting requirements, and own delivery through release. - Native or near-native Greek speaker with a good working command of English.

Nice to have - Experience building complex authoring tools, editors, content creation experiences, or highly interactive web applications. - Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices architectures, and exposure to or interest in Go. - Background in EdTech, LMS systems, or other complex SaaS products. - Experience working in small, autonomous engineering groups across multiple parallel product initiatives. - Public GitHub repositories, open-source contributions, or personal projects that showcase craftsmanship.
