Intern Software Engineer - Developer Experience and Relations

Role overview Join a developer experience team that combines software engineering, technical communication, and community outreach. This six-month, full-time paid internship is based in Amsterdam and starts in April or May 2026. Work areas are shaped by team priorities and the intern’s skills and interests, with the opportunity to contribute to tools and resources for developers.

Responsibilities - Plan and carry out ideas to grow awareness and use of developer tools. - Improve technical documentation and build or update demos and integrations. - Help maintain and improve websites and support product releases. - Contribute to social media and developer community activity. - Assist with conference applications and event planning, including hackathons. - Create technical content that makes complex software accessible to developer audiences.

Requirements - Enrollment in a degree or equivalent program in digital media, computer science, mathematics, or a related field; candidates near graduation are preferred. Relevant work experience may also be considered. - Strong communication skills. - Practical software development experience, including academic projects. - Residence in the Netherlands and authorization to work there.

Nice to have Open source contributions; interest in accessible web or UX design; experience creating developer-focused social content; video or graphic design skills; familiarity with JavaScript tools such as TypeScript, React, or Node.js; knowledge of WebAssembly or progressive web apps; experience with C, C++, Java, or Rust; and a portfolio of design or development work are useful.
