About this role
Role overview A senior data engineering role focused on building and operating large-scale analytics infrastructure on the Snowflake platform. The work spans ingestion, transformation, modeling, performance tuning, and the engineering practices that keep pipelines reliable and cost-aware.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation logic using Snowflake features such as SnowSQL, Snowpark, Streams, Tasks, and Warehouses. - Develop and optimize complex SQL, stored procedures, user-defined functions, and high-throughput queries against large datasets. - Implement ingestion frameworks that connect APIs, files, SaaS platforms, and cloud storage into a unified data layer. - Model data using 3NF, Data Vault, and dimensional approaches to support analytics and enterprise reporting. - Tune warehouse sizing, caching, and compute usage to balance cost and performance. - Strengthen data quality, lineage, and reliability practices, partnering closely with technical program managers, analysts, and product stakeholders.
Requirements - Several years of hands-on experience as a data or analytics engineer building production pipelines on Snowflake. - Strong SQL craft, including stored procedures, UDFs, and query performance tuning. - Familiarity with ingestion patterns from APIs, flat files, SaaS tools, and cloud object storage. - Practical knowledge of data modeling approaches such as 3NF, Data Vault, and dimensional schemas. - Experience implementing or maintaining CI/CD for data workflows, including version control and automated testing. - Comfort working in a distributed, asynchronous environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
Nice to have - Experience with Snowpark development. - Background contributing to documentation, data observability tooling, or shared engineering standards across a data function.
