Senior Frontend Engineer (LATAM)

Role overview

A senior Frontend Engineer role is open for someone based in LATAM to lead front-end work on shipped products. The position combines hands-on coding with technical leadership, decision-making, and end-to-end ownership of features. The team is distributed, async-first, and self-managed, with a strong emphasis on quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain front-end features in React with modern JavaScript or TypeScript, building reusable components and polished, responsive interfaces. - Drive projects from concept through completion, including technical decisions, implementation planning, and deployment. - Lead front-end best practices, proposing improvements to build processes, UI patterns, and tooling when they offer real benefit. - Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, product managers, and clients in an asynchronous workflow, including demos and requirement clarifications. - Profile and refine performance, animations, and browser-specific behaviour, debugging issues and writing tests to prevent regressions. - Stay current with industry trends, evaluating new technologies for genuine product or developer experience gains.

Requirements

- Significant experience with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript in production. - Demonstrated ability to lead projects and make sound technical decisions independently. - Comfort working asynchronously in a distributed, self-managed environment. - Willingness to give and receive detailed feedback as part of continuous improvement. - Adaptability to shifting priorities and ambiguity during a scaling, maturing phase.
