About this role
Role overview A senior front-end engineering role focused on crafting high-quality React experiences within a distributed, product-led environment. The position combines hands-on UI craft with technical leadership, async collaboration, and a continuous drive to improve performance, accessibility, and developer experience.
Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain front-end features in React with modern JavaScript or TypeScript, building reusable UI components and polished, responsive interfaces. - Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers in an asynchronous workflow, communicating directly with clients to clarify requirements and demo work. - Lead projects from concept through completion, making technical decisions, outlining implementation plans, and driving them through to deployment. - Introduce and advocate for new front-end best practices that meaningfully raise the bar for the team and product. - Profile and optimize page load, animations, and browser-specific behavior to deliver fast, accessible, reliable experiences. - Contribute to build tooling, component libraries, and shared front-end standards while helping debug production issues.
Requirements - Senior-level experience building production front-end applications with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript. - Strong sense of UI craft, including reusable component design, responsive layout, and accessibility fundamentals. - Comfort working asynchronously with designers, back-end developers, product, and external clients. - Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end and make sound technical decisions independently. - Practical experience optimizing front-end performance and resolving cross-browser issues. - Comfort in a self-managed, distributed setup with shifting priorities and ongoing iteration.
Nice to have - Experience improving build pipelines or adopting new UI approaches in a front-end codebase. - Background contributing to shared component libraries or design systems.
