A distributed product engineering team is hiring a Frontend Engineer based in the Benelux region to help build polished, user-facing web experiences. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain front-end features in React using modern JavaScript or TypeScript, building reusable UI components and responsive interfaces. - Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and product managers in an asynchronous workflow, including direct client communication for requirements and demos. - Profile and improve page load, animations, and browser-specific issues so applications stay fast, accessible, and reliable. - Debug issues and ship durable fixes, writing tests to prevent regressions. - Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new frameworks or tools for genuine product or developer experience improvements.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript in production. - Strong eye for UI craft, accessibility, and responsive design. - Comfort working asynchronously in a distributed, self-managed environment with proactive, written communication. - Willingness to give and receive candid, sometimes detailed feedback as part of continuous improvement. - Adaptability to shifting priorities and evolving processes as the team scales.
Nice to have
- Experience profiling and optimising front-end performance at scale. - Familiarity with build tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud platforms used to ship front-end projects.
