GCP & Platform Security Engineer

Role overview A full-time, remote position based in India for a hands-on GCP & Platform Security Engineer who drives infrastructure automation, continuous delivery, and security across multi-cloud environments. The role is highly strategic and execution-focused, calling for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and champions DevSecOps principles end to end. It centers on keeping systems reliable and secure at scale while automating everything possible.

Responsibilities - Architect and maintain secure, automated infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform, Kubernetes, and Linux-based tooling. - Embed DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines to enforce security controls, policy guardrails, and continuous delivery across multi-cloud environments. - Design and operate monitoring, hardening, and incident-response measures to ensure platform reliability and protection at scale. - Build reusable automation frameworks and scripts that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across deployments. - Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security early in the development lifecycle and resolve complex platform issues.

Requirements - Deep, hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes in production environments. - Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipeline design. - Solid grasp of DevSecOps methodologies, security best practices, and Linux system administration. - Working knowledge of multi-cloud operations spanning GCP, AWS, and Azure. - Strong scripting skills to automate operational and security tasks.

Nice to have - Familiarity with additional cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure for cross-cloud infrastructure work. - Experience operating in enterprise data or analytics contexts, including familiarity with data platforms and lakehouse architectures. - Background working with Python or similar languages for automation and platform tooling.
