Role overview

Own the synthesis layer that turns raw financial data, filings, transcripts, and price action into equity briefs individual investors can actually act on. The work centers on building, evaluating, and iterating on a stock research agent, with a strong emphasis on whether the output is genuinely useful rather than merely plausible. The role ships on a weekly cadence alongside the technical founders, with feedback rooted in real investor outcomes.

Responsibilities

- Build, evaluate, and iterate on the stock research agent end to end - Design and run evaluations that measure output quality, not just surface-level checks - Use Python, data pipelines, APIs, and scripting to glue components together - Operate retrieval systems and produce structured outputs from language model calls - Iterate quickly with founders on prompt and pipeline changes under weekly shipping pressure - Maintain a bias toward simple, working solutions over complex architectures

Requirements

- 2+ years building software that uses large language models in production - Strong Python skills, including data pipelines, APIs, and scripting - Experience running evaluations that meaningfully measure model output quality - Comfort working with retrieval systems and structured outputs - Prior experience at an early-stage startup - Track record of successful remote work
