Software Engineer

Role overview Join a remote-first engineering team building end-to-end loyalty platform solutions for enterprise clients. The Software Engineer will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to backend services, integrations, and modern front-end interfaces that power consumer engagement experiences. This is a collaborative, Agile-driven role focused on delivering reliable, scalable systems in a cloud environment.

Responsibilities - Participate in all phases of the Agile process, including planning, grooming, and sprint execution - Develop and maintain backend services and components using Java and Spring Boot (JDK 11+ preferred) - Build responsive front-end features with Angular (version 10+ preferred) - Design and consume RESTful APIs using JSON for service-to-service communication - Create and tune SQL queries (inserts, updates, multi-table joins) using execution explain plans, ideally on Oracle or PostgreSQL - Work with microservice cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, or Azure - Collaborate with product owners and team members during design sessions to clarify acceptance criteria - Document configuration and business logic rules to support platform maintainability - Mentor teammates, promote sound coding practices, and contribute accurate scoping and time estimates

Requirements - 3+ years of front-end web application development experience - 1+ years building applications with Angular (version 10+ preferred) - 1+ years developing RESTful services using JSON - Experience developing microservice-based cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure) - 1+ years writing multi-table SQL queries, inserts, and updates (Oracle or PostgreSQL preferred) - Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred - Willingness to travel periodically for team collaboration, customer engagements, training, and company events

Nice to have - Experience with Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications - Familiarity with message queues such as RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or Kafka Streams - Building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker for Desktop) - Build management tools including Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, or Bamboo - Tuning SQL statements using execution explain plans
