Software Engineer, Back-End Focus

Role overview Build and improve backend software that supports digital services for homeowners. As part of a small engineering team, you’ll work across Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, taking features from design through deployment and coordinating with product partners and fellow engineers.

Responsibilities - Develop clean, maintainable backend code, primarily with Ruby on Rails. - Deliver stories and features through implementation, review, and deployment. - Pair with teammates to solve technical problems and improve code quality. - Work with cross-functional partners to connect engineering decisions to product goals. - Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. - Take ownership of complex or ambiguous work and share technical guidance with peers.

Requirements - Experience shipping small or medium-sized software projects. - Proficiency in Ruby, JavaScript, or TypeScript. - Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development practices. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn quickly in a fast-moving environment. - Willingness to take responsibility for work from initial design through release.
