About this role
Role overview A hands-on platform role focused on owning the cloud infrastructure that powers multiple client products end to end. The position covers infrastructure as code, delivery pipelines, observability, and operational security, ensuring every system shipped is production-ready from day one. The work spans several engagements, bringing consistency and strong defaults to how software is built, deployed, and operated.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tooling across multiple client environments. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that make releases fast, safe, and repeatable. - Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging so issues are surfaced before users notice them. - Lead on security, access control, and cost optimisation across environments. - Support engineering teams during incident response and drive ongoing reliability improvements.
Requirements - 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or site reliability engineering. - Strong hands-on experience with AWS, including networking, IAM, and managed services. - Practical experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code tools. - Experience with containers, Docker, and orchestration platforms such as ECS or Kubernetes. - A pragmatic approach to automation, documentation, and operational ownership.
Nice to have - Background in FinOps and cloud cost management. - Familiarity with observability tooling such as Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry. - Experience supporting data or ML workloads in production.
