Remote job
Frontend Focus Full Stack Engineer – Team Discover
Job details
About this role
Role overview Help shape how customers find and explore products through search, navigation, category pages, filters, and recommendations. As a senior full stack engineer with a strong frontend focus, you’ll work in a small, empowered product team that owns its domain from customer-facing features through infrastructure and operations. The team shares responsibility for deciding what to build, measuring its impact, and improving the discovery platform over time.
Responsibilities - Develop and evolve the product discovery experience and its underlying systems. - Contribute to frontend, backend, internal tooling, and platform performance work. - Take part in product and technical planning, including build-versus-buy decisions. - Instrument features, evaluate results, and use data to guide follow-up decisions. - Own services through deployment and operation, considering availability, costs, and reliability. - Collaborate through discussion and pairing, and help improve team practices as they evolve.
Requirements - Senior full stack engineering experience with strong frontend expertise. - Sound engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn tools and technologies as needed; a perfect match to the current stack is not required. - Product judgment: the ability to weigh customer experience, technical trade-offs, and business impact. - Comfort working autonomously in a small team, making progress amid ambiguity, and following through on problems you identify. - Collaborative communication, including willingness to pair and respectfully challenge ideas. - Applicants must be based in Bulgaria or the EU and eligible to work there without visa sponsorship.
Nice to have - Experience with TypeScript, Preact, Vite, server-side rendering, PostCSS, or microfrontend architectures. - Familiarity with Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, or DynamoDB. - Experience with AWS, Pulumi, GitLab CI/CD, analytics instrumentation, or AI tools in engineering workflows.
Benefits and work setup Full-time, remote role. Benefits include 25 days of paid leave, additional health insurance, a multisport benefit, and career and skills development. The team offers substantial ownership of a product area that affects customer experience and business outcomes.
