Senior Data Scientist

Role overview A clean-energy analytics team is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to tackle unconventional questions across the modern electric grid. The role blends exploratory research with production engineering, partnering closely with product and project stakeholders to deliver solutions on schedule. Work spans solar, electric vehicles, energy efficiency, demand response, batteries, wholesale markets, and related grid topics.

Responsibilities - Run exploratory data analysis on large time-series, geospatial, electrical network, and socioeconomic datasets. - Develop creative, data-driven approaches to ambiguous grid and energy problems. - Collaborate with product and project stakeholders to validate, scope, and schedule solutions. - Carry models and analyses from concept through to production deployment. - Communicate findings in ways that make complex electrical and environmental data accessible.

Requirements - Current, unrestricted United States work authorization (visa sponsorship is not available). - Significant experience as a data scientist working with large, real-world datasets. - Proficiency in exploratory analysis, statistical reasoning, and production-grade coding. - Track record of owning solutions end-to-end rather than handing off prototypes. - Comfort working across interdisciplinary topics such as solar generation, EVs, and energy markets.
