Product Design Lead, AI

Role overview Lead product design for AI-powered experiences on a client-facing team. You’ll own defined workstreams within a larger product vision, shaping how AI changes what users can do while balancing usability, visual craft, trust, and business goals. The work spans native mobile applications and websites and involves close collaboration with client stakeholders and multidisciplinary teammates.

Responsibilities - Define and advance AI-enabled product experiences, considering edge cases, failure states, trust cues, and unexpected or incomplete outputs. - Produce user-focused design work across UX, UI, and visual design, including prototypes, production-ready designs, annotations, and wireframes. - Lead workstreams, provide direction to others, and incorporate feedback into design decisions. - Present work clearly to internal teams and senior client stakeholders. - Partner with product, engineering, and development teams in agile delivery settings. - Build client relationships and connect business needs with consumer experience goals. - Adapt between rapid iteration and longer-term product thinking while contributing ideas proactively.

Requirements - Product design experience in an agency or related setting, designing native iOS and Android apps and websites. - Demonstrated experience designing functional AI-powered features and user interactions. - Fluency with AI tools in design workflows, using them to explore and iterate effectively. - Experience leading workstreams and making decisions through collaboration and feedback. - Experience delivering user-centered work in complex enterprise technology or consumer product categories. - Clear communication and presentation skills, including with senior stakeholders. - Experience with agile product design and development. - Comfort working with enterprise-scale design systems.

Benefits and work setup - Target compensation range: $150,000–$170,000; actual pay depends on factors such as skills, experience, and location.
