About this role
Role overview A senior-level DevOps opportunity focused on building and automating the backend infrastructure that powers a large-scale cloud platform used by organizations to manage Apple devices. The position is fully remote within Poland and centers on improving developer productivity, system reliability, and security through infrastructure-as-code and modern delivery practices. The engineer will operate as a senior technical contributor and mentor within an Agile team.
Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and maintain production environments using infrastructure-as-code, configuration-as-code, serverless patterns, and containerization. - Build and scale CI/CD pipelines that support frequent, reliable software releases. - Integrate security and hardening practices into system designs, configurations, and data lifecycle management. - Develop custom tooling, scripts, and automation to streamline operational tasks. - Participate in on-call rotations, triage alerts, and assist with disaster recovery for owned services. - Provide technical leadership through code reviews, mentoring, cross-training, and contributing to Agile ceremonies such as estimation and planning.
Requirements - At least 3 years of experience with CI tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) or configuration management platforms (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) or systems administration focused on performance and capacity planning. - At least 3 years of advanced operating-system experience on platforms such as macOS or Linux, including shell scripting. - At least 3 years of programming experience in a modern language such as Java, Python, or Go. - At least 3 years using source control systems (Git or similar) and issue tracking software (JIRA or similar). - Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to boost development productivity. - Eligibility to live and work remotely in Poland.
Nice to have - Background developing enterprise-grade software with a solid grasp of the full software development life cycle. - Infrastructure-as-code expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation. - Experience building cloud-native services on AWS or comparable platforms. - Familiarity with monitoring and logging stacks such as LogicMonitor, Sumo Logic, or the ELK suite. - Working knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes, plus structured databases like MySQL or DynamoDB. - A bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
