Tech Lead

Role overview Technical leadership role on a healthcare software team building tools for Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Tech Lead guides a pod of roughly five engineers, splits time between hands-on coding and architecture, and partners with product, design, and customer support to ship high-quality features that serve vulnerable senior populations.

Responsibilities - Write code, lead design reviews, and review pull requests while coaching engineers within the pod. - Contribute to a cross-pod technical roadmap with peer tech leads, setting standards, managing technical debt, and guiding architectural decisions. - Partner with product managers and designers to break user stories into technical tickets and validate feasibility before development. - Triage customer-reported bugs with the support team and turn feedback into prioritized fixes. - Mentor and develop pod members through regular coaching and career-focused guidance.

Requirements - Strong senior individual-contributor background as a fullstack engineer using TypeScript and React. - Track record shipping production web applications with attention to data access boundaries and security-sensitive code. - Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership of outcomes is expected. - Product-minded approach, asking "what user problem are we solving" before jumping into solutions.

Nice to have - Prior experience as a tech lead or team lead. - Background scaling large production web applications. - Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL data stores. - Healthcare, healthtech, or other regulated-industry experience.
