Role overview
This position is for an Integration & Automation Engineer who will design and maintain the connective layer between systems, services, and operational workflows. The work centers on building reliable integrations and automation pipelines that reduce manual effort, eliminate repetitive tasks, and improve data flow across the organization. It is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone who enjoys connecting disparate tools and turning brittle processes into dependable, well-documented systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain integrations that connect internal systems, third-party services, and external partners - Develop automation scripts and workflows that streamline repetitive operational and engineering tasks - Monitor integration health, investigate failures, and implement durable fixes for connectivity or data issues - Partner with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver integration solutions - Document integration architectures, runbooks, and operational procedures so systems remain maintainable over time
Requirements
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing system integrations or automation pipelines in a professional setting - Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language commonly used for integration and automation work - Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and common data exchange formats - Strong debugging skills for systems that span multiple services and data flows - Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, or modern DevOps tooling - Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability practices for distributed systems - Exposure to event-driven architectures or message-based integration patterns
