Job details
About this role
Role overview Independent consulting engagement for a backend engineer based in Brazil to build and maintain provider adapters and gateway backend services that integrate supply providers into a digital infrastructure marketplace. The work is autonomous and high-impact, focused on API integration architecture, Go backend delivery, and supporting the shift from bespoke adapters toward self-serve onboarding workflows. The consultant will serve as an external subject matter expert across the Integrations and Gateway surface, ensuring marketplace supply ingestion, pricing engines, and adapter services run with high availability and observability.
Responsibilities - Architect, build, and maintain Go-based backend services and provider adapters for network, bare-metal, GPU, and data providers delivering live pricing and availability. - Contribute to schema mapping frameworks, GUI tooling, validation guardrails, and LLM-assisted integration frameworks that enable non-engineers to onboard providers with minimal overhead. - Own assigned adapter surfaces end-to-end, delivering well-tested, observable services and maintaining existing adapter logic under pod technical standards. - Collaborate asynchronously across distributed functions such as Design, QA, and Data Foundation, with overlap into US business hours. - Conduct code reviews, pull-request assessments, and technical documentation updates to uphold engineering quality across the pod. - Support migration of legacy adapters toward self-serve provider onboarding workflows.
Requirements - Three to five years of professional backend development with production expertise in Go, or strong adjacent languages with a rapid ramp-up path to Go. - Hands-on experience with REST/API integrations, Postgres, Redis, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. - Practical experience building provider adapters, schema mapping tools, validation guardrails, and message-queue or event-driven architectures. - Exposure to Node.js and TypeScript backend tooling, LLM or agent integration frameworks, and GUI tooling. - Fluent professional English communication skills for cross-border async collaboration, code reviews, and daily alignment across Brazil, Poland, and US time zones. - Active corporate entity (PJ/CNPJ) in Brazil with the ability to issue electronic service invoices (NFS-e) for monthly disbursement.
Nice to have - Experience designing or operating self-serve onboarding frameworks for marketplace or platform products. - Familiarity with LLM-assisted integration or agent-based automation tooling.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote position based in Brazil, engaged as an independent B2B consultant through a fixed-rate monthly service agreement. - Compensation range of $5,000 to $6,500 per month depending on experience. - Full flexibility over work schedules, location, and execution methods, with no direct people-management responsibilities. - Strictly a consulting engagement with no employment relationship under Brazilian labor law (CLT), paid vacation, 13th salary, or statutory employee benefits.
