About this role
Role overview
This is a talent pool for video editors rather than an immediate opening. Editors help turn approved master videos into polished versions for different audiences and platforms, preserving the original creative direction while maintaining technical quality across high volumes of content.
Responsibilities
- Replace visual effects shots and create cutdowns or adaptations while preserving timing, story, and visual consistency. - Reframe videos for formats such as vertical, square, and 4:5, and export files to the required delivery specifications. - Inspect picture, sound, colour, effects, and renders; correct or flag problems such as compression artifacts, audio imbalance, or single-frame errors. - Receive, check, organise, and transcode master files, selecting suitable codecs, formats, and colour spaces and preparing review copies. - Prepare approved assets for automated production and distribution workflows, and improve quality checks for repeatable use. - Coordinate with project managers and visual effects supervisors, apply feedback, and help ensure deliveries are ready on schedule.
Requirements
- Video editing experience supported by a portfolio showing work across formats and platforms. - Practical experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. - Familiarity with visual effects workflows, post-production pipelines, codecs, transcoding, compression, and delivery specifications. - Ability to assess video, audio, and colour quality and catch subtle inconsistencies. - Strong file and version organisation skills, with the ability to manage substantial volumes of content and meet production deadlines. - Reliable internet access, a computer capable of handling 4K footage, and sufficient storage for large project files.
