3D Generalist (Talent Pool)
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a talent-pool listing for an experienced 3D generalist, not an immediate opening. The work centres on product advertising and photorealistic imagery, contributing across the 3D pipeline and integrating computer-generated elements into live-action footage. Projects involve multiple deliverables and tight schedules, so the role calls for both visual craft and practical production judgment.
Responsibilities - Contribute across modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, liquid simulation, rendering, render management, and basic compositing. - Integrate 3D elements into live-action footage and check tracking and matchmoving quality. - Troubleshoot production and technical issues, coordinate with artists, supervisors, and project managers, and keep work moving toward milestones. - Balance image quality with available time, while maintaining a close eye on detail and visual consistency. - Keep skills current with relevant tools and production methods.
Requirements - At least 5–7 years as a 3D generalist, with substantial product-advertising experience and a strong portfolio. - Significant shading, lighting, and rendering skills using 3ds Max and V-Ray, with examples demonstrating strong 3D visual judgment. - Good understanding of liquid simulation and the integration of CG with live-action footage. - Ability to plan and prioritize several tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines without losing quality. - Strong English communication, responsiveness to direction, and willingness to learn new workflows and tools.
Nice to have - Familiarity with Phoenix FD or similar simulation tools, TyFlow or comparable systems, After Effects or Nuke, and Photoshop. - Experience with tracking and matchmoving workflows.
