Senior AI Engineer

Role overview Build and operate AI features that support clinical research, from processing complex medical information to helping teams identify eligible patients and suitable study sites. You’ll work across model selection, retrieval and agent design, partnering with product and engineering colleagues to bring reliable AI systems into everyday use.

Responsibilities - Select and coordinate models for multimodal data processing and analysis. - Develop retrieval-augmented generation approaches for large medical documents and patient histories. - Build agent-based tools for clinical trial activities such as patient recruitment and site selection. - Integrate AI capabilities with software, product and data engineering teams. - Create scalable pipelines and maintain production features as users adopt them. - Improve systems through evaluation, monitoring and iteration based on real-world performance.

Requirements - Several years of professional work centered on machine learning, data science or AI engineering. - Experience shipping and maintaining LLM features used by real customers, including retrieval or agent workflows. - Proficiency in Python and ability to deliver clean, production-ready code independently. - Understanding of LLM evaluation challenges and strong problem-solving ability. - Clear written and spoken communication in both English and French. - A product-oriented approach and confidence contributing to roadmap discussions.
