Founding Software Engineer: Idun Engine (open source)

Role overview Take ownership of an open-source runtime designed to help AI agents operate as production software. The role covers foundational engineering decisions as well as the interfaces and operational capabilities that make the runtime usable and observable.

Responsibilities - Lead the runtime’s core architecture and implementation. - Build observability capabilities for agents running in production. - Design and maintain interfaces that allow plugins to integrate with the runtime. - Support the open-source community around the project. - Guide the evolution of the runtime as a production foundation for agents.

Requirements - Strong software engineering experience building runtime or platform systems. - Ability to make and own core architecture decisions. - Experience designing extensible plugin or integration interfaces. - Familiarity with observability needs in production software. - Ability to engage with an open-source developer community.
