Staff Product Manager, Core Platform & UX

Role overview A Staff-level Product Manager role owning the integrated vision and roadmap for a Core Platform and partner-facing UX area within a cybersecurity SaaS product. The position works closely with engineering, design, and other product leaders to balance shared platform foundations with visible partner value, primarily for managed service provider (MSP) customers. It is a remote, hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced platform PM with strong UX instincts.

Responsibilities - Set and communicate an integrated product vision and strategy for both core platform capabilities and partner-visible platform value streams. - Own a sequenced, dependency-aware roadmap that balances shared platform investments with partner-facing feature work. - Lead discovery and strategy across capabilities such as identity and SSO, RBAC, accounts and organizations, audit logging, shared services, and reporting and onboarding experiences. - Treat MSPs and their clients as first-class users by deeply understanding their operating models, permissions, organizational structures, and reporting needs. - Partner with design on user problems, prototypes, wireframes, and intuitive workflows for complex technical use cases. - Steward shared interfaces, APIs, data models, and product contracts that let other product teams build on the platform without bespoke work. - Establish measurable outcomes for both platform effectiveness and partner value, such as time to enable a new product, identity workflow completion, and report adoption.

Requirements - 7+ years in product management with progressively increasing scope and impact. - 2+ years of direct experience with the MSP business model, including multi-tenant permissions, organizational structures, and reporting workflows. - 3+ years as a platform product manager owning shared services, backend systems, APIs, data models, or shared interfaces. - Demonstrated track record of building and launching platform capabilities, not just coordinating delivery. - Strong UX product management experience, with personal involvement in user research, prototyping, or usability testing. - Background in cybersecurity, SaaS, or complex B2B technology; experience with products serving MSPs, MSSPs, or channel partners. - Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor across strategy, discovery, UX detail, and execution.

Nice to have - Experience connecting platform investments to clear user outcomes and business value in ambiguous problem spaces. - Prior work influencing product teams without direct authority and mentoring other product managers.
