Director, Technology

Role overview A senior technology leadership role directing complex digital engagements from concept through implementation. The position shapes technology strategy, architecture, and delivery for enterprise-grade products while partnering with stakeholders across product, design, and business functions. It is a remote opportunity based in Colombia.

Responsibilities - Define technology strategies, roadmaps, architecture decisions, and delivery approaches for complex digital products and platforms. - Lead end-to-end technology delivery spanning frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless content management systems. - Provide technical direction on modern web architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs. - Establish technology stacks, governance, technical standards, and engineering best practices across teams. - Guide cloud infrastructure, scalability, security, CI/CD, DevOps, and application performance decisions. - Identify and integrate AI and Generative AI capabilities, including large language models, Vertex AI, and Claude-based tooling, into products and workflows. - Lead, mentor, and support global, cross-functional engineering teams and complex workstreams. - Communicate technical strategies, architectural decisions, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.

Requirements - 10+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, and digital product development, ideally within agency or consulting environments. - Deep understanding of modern web architecture, including frontend, backend, APIs, cloud applications, and headless CMS platforms. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs. - Hands-on familiarity with AI and Generative AI technologies such as large language models, Vertex AI, and Claude/Claude Code. - Proven experience with technology strategy, architecture, roadmaps, and end-to-end delivery. - Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, security, scalability, CI/CD, DevOps, and engineering best practices. - Experience defining governance, standards, and technical frameworks across multiple teams. - Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor global, cross-functional engineering teams and communicate complex concepts to senior technical and non-technical audiences. - A degree in engineering or a related field may require presentation of a valid professional license issued by the relevant Colombian authority.
