Role overview
A senior creative leader is sought to shape visual, interface, brand, and product design for digital experiences. The role combines hands-on craft, systems thinking, client partnership, and leadership of multidisciplinary teams, with an emphasis on using AI-enabled workflows while maintaining high design standards.
Responsibilities
- Turn brand, product, and business goals into clear visual and creative direction, and guide clients through design decisions. - Set and maintain quality standards for interface design, visual identity, motion, and interaction across complex programs. - Lead the creation and evolution of design systems, interface frameworks, and visual identity systems. - Identify where AI tools can support exploration, prototyping, production, and quality review; help teams adopt effective practices and standards. - Mentor designers across visual, interface, experience, writing, and motion disciplines, providing clear feedback and coaching. - Coordinate end-to-end delivery with product, strategy, client services, and engineering partners; manage priorities, risks, and timelines.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of creative leadership experience, ideally in digital design or product teams. - Demonstrated depth in at least two design disciplines, such as visual design and systems, brand and product, or interaction and motion. - A strong portfolio of visual and product design work, including examples of how AI tools contributed to the process. - Deep product and interface design expertise, including design systems and advanced Figma skills. - Practical fluency with AI-supported design and production tools, plus the ability to guide teams in their use. - Proven ability to mentor and develop multidisciplinary teams and build trusted client relationships.
Benefits and work setup
The position is remote within the United States, with hiring unavailable in New Mexico and Hawaii. The stated annual salary range is $130,000–$170,000 USD; placement within the range depends on qualifications, experience, role needs, budget, and location.
