Staff Software Engineer, Front End

Role overview

Join a core front-end team at a fast-growing remote cybersecurity organization as a Staff Software Engineer. This central architecture and enablement group shapes the user experience, scalability, consistency, and performance of an autonomous security assessment platform used by enterprises, government agencies, and service partners. The role leads complex cross-team technical initiatives rather than owning a single product feature.

Responsibilities

- Drive front-end architecture decisions across multiple product areas and shared infrastructure - Design scalable, reusable UI systems, component patterns, and application frameworks - Lead large cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams - Identify and reduce technical debt across shared front-end infrastructure - Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, developer workflows, and review environments - Contribute hands-on production code in React and TypeScript while reviewing work from other engineers - Partner with Design to raise consistency and usability across the product - Mentor engineers, raise the technical bar, and help grow future technical leaders

Requirements

- 8+ years building modern web applications used in production at scale - Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React - Experience leading large technical initiatives across multiple teams - Strong knowledge of state management, asynchronous data flows, and API integration patterns - Experience designing reusable component systems and scalable UI patterns - Background improving front-end performance, reliability, observability, and accessibility - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Comfort thriving in fast-moving, highly collaborative environments with evolving priorities

Nice to have

- GraphQL and modern API-driven architecture experience - Monorepo and modern build system experience - Familiarity with AWS, Datadog, and cloud-native environments - Experience working closely with Product Design and Design Systems teams - Startup background
