Rail Digital Transformation Project Manager (69302)

Role overview Lead end-to-end digital transformation projects for railway organizations, connecting operational priorities with technology-enabled change. The portfolio may span asset management, maintenance, fleet and depot operations, signaling, enterprise systems, cloud, data, analytics, AI and connected rail solutions.

Responsibilities - Plan and deliver complex projects across the full lifecycle, managing budgets, forecasts, risks, issues, changes and dependencies. - Serve as the customer-facing lead for governance, executive reporting, steering committees, planning sessions and stakeholder coordination. - Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across consulting, engineering, software, systems integration, testing, commissioning and operational support. - Work with business and technical stakeholders on transformation roadmaps, business cases, operational improvements and adoption strategies. - Oversee delivery of digital initiatives involving cloud, data, analytics, AI, IoT, enterprise applications and industrial solutions in rail settings. - Set governance frameworks, KPIs and delivery controls; support proposals, statements of work, commercial discussions and customer growth.

Requirements - 10+ years of project or program management experience in the railway industry, focused on digital change, operational excellence or technology-enabled transformation. - Experience managing complex programs with railway operators, infrastructure managers, rolling stock organizations, engineering teams and technology providers. - Strong project planning, financial, risk, change and dependency management skills. - Ability to lead customer and executive communications in complex, multinational delivery environments. - Knowledge of rail operations and asset management, plus experience with digital transformation initiatives. - Familiarity with quality expectations, customer requirements, cybersecurity principles and relevant delivery controls.

Nice to have - Experience with asset and maintenance transformation, data and AI, analytics, IoT, cloud and connected systems. - Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery, commercial governance, statements of work and enterprise transformation.
