Staff Software Engineer, Frontend

Role overview Provide technical direction for the front end of an internal self-service platform supporting pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment. You’ll partner with engineering, product, design, and operations teams to build a reliable, scalable system, while helping other engineers deliver and maintain it effectively.

Responsibilities - Lead architecture for maintainable, high-performing front-end solutions that meet product needs. - Set shared frameworks, design patterns, and coding practices across the front-end team. - Plan a multi-quarter architecture roadmap and break it into work that engineering teams can deliver. - Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing. - Improve technical debt, development workflows, monitoring, incident response, and performance. - Guide responsible use of AI in development, balancing productivity with safety, quality, and maintainability.

Requirements - At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including setting front-end technical direction across teams. - Experience building scalable web applications and services, preferably in cloud environments. - Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, React Native, Next.js, or TypeScript. - Familiarity with back-end and infrastructure technologies such as Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, or Redis. - Experience with monitoring and CI/CD tools, such as Datadog, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. - Hands-on use of AI tools in engineering workflows, sound technical judgment, and strong collaboration and prioritization skills.
