About this role

Role overview

A senior Master Data Management Engineer position focused on designing and building the resolved identity and relationship foundations used by financial services clients. The role sits inside a data and integration practice and centers on turning authenticated claims into trusted, canonical party records that downstream systems can rely on.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end MDM and relationship-graph architecture across an engagement, spanning data modeling, integration, data quality, and governance. - Design and configure match and merge logic, survivorship and trust rules, validation rules, and golden-record management. - Build entity resolution, the golden record, and the relationship graph, together with the pipelines that feed them and syndicate trusted master data back to consuming systems. - Establish the data-quality baseline and the stewardship operating model, including steward workflows and issue queues. - Define the identity seam between a client identity platform and the MDM layer, converting an authenticated claim into a resolved party. - Set engineering standards, document a repeatable delivery approach, mentor a small team, and translate complex MDM concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience with identity resolution and matching, including deterministic and probabilistic logic, match rules, thresholds, trust scoring, and ongoing tuning to balance false merges against missed matches. - Ability to weight strong identifiers such as tax ID and date of birth above softer attributes like name and address, with practical handling of nicknames, transliteration, and address standardization. - Track record of building and maintaining crosswalks between each source system's local key and the canonical party identifier. - Experience designing golden-record construction with attribute-level survivorship and trust rules, full lineage, safe merge/unmerge/split handling, and the create/update/retire lifecycle. - Strong party and relationship data modeling skills across person, legal entity, household, and account, including relationships, hierarchies, crosswalks, and reference data. - Ability to design relationship-graph ontologies that capture households, beneficial ownership chains, advisor-to-client structures, and similar real-world party relationships.

Nice to have

- Prior work in regulated or complex industries such as financial services, where governance and auditability are first-class concerns. - Experience collaborating with data governance, CRM, and source-system owners alongside business stakeholders.

Benefits and work setup

- The employer describes itself as an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment for all employees and applicants.
