Software Engineer, Backend (Product)

Role overview Help expand the capabilities of an AI-native analytics platform as a backend-leaning product engineer. You'll build complex workflows that increase the reach, ergonomics, and capabilities of an agentic analytics platform, with a strong focus on enabling the AI agent across APIs, MCP, and command-line interfaces. The role blends full-stack ownership with deep enterprise systems work.

Responsibilities - Build and extend APIs and CLIs that enable powerful workflows for sophisticated technical users. - Design MCP server and client implementations to broaden entry points into platform capabilities. - Architect a next-generation access control system, including role-based access control, admin request and approval flows, and tiered admin roles. - Own full-stack product changes end-to-end, from backend policy enforcement to admin-facing workflows. - Propose and implement scalable systems in collaboration with the broader engineering organization.

Requirements - 5+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience. - Strong ability to build systems with high complexity and intricate business logic. - Deep interest or experience developing state-of-the-art agentic workflows across disparate systems and tools. - Proven success working on remote-first teams with strong written communication. - Passion for technical collaboration, including RFCs, code reviews, and architecture discussions. - Hands-on familiarity with enterprise integrations such as SSO, SCIM-based provisioning, audit logs, and MFA.

Benefits and work setup Salary range of $198,750 to $295,000, benchmarked to market, plus equity, comprehensive health benefits, and flexible paid time off.
