Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Role overview

This role leads the development of a major component within a cloud-based analytics product. You will work across the JavaScript stack, contributing primarily to backend services with Node.js while collaborating with engineers working on React, Golang, data infrastructure, and cloud operations. The position combines feature delivery, technical ownership, automated testing, deployment, documentation, and mentoring.

Responsibilities

- Build and improve product capabilities across React-based interfaces and Node.js services. - Lead the technical development of a significant product component and help shape its architecture. - Create, maintain, and manage automated tests, continuous integration processes, and deployment workflows. - Take responsibility for validating the features you build before release. - Document development processes and technical decisions clearly. - Support DevOps and less-experienced engineers with cloud infrastructure, code quality, and robust system design.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline. - At least 3 years of backend development experience. - At least 2 years of hands-on Node.js experience. - Familiarity with modern ECMAScript specifications and GraphQL. - Working knowledge of JavaScript APIs and the broader React/Node ecosystem.

Nice to have

- Experience with AWS or other cloud-native technologies. - Familiarity with open-source systems such as Redis, Elasticsearch, or PostgreSQL.
