About this role
Role overview This is an early-stage, full-time remote role for an engineer who wants to own complete services from API to dashboard on a modern edge and serverless platform. The position blends product engineering with developer-tooling work, including an AI orchestration layer that lets users provision and wire services through natural language.
Responsibilities - Ship end-to-end services, including route handlers, dashboard pages, SDK namespaces, CLI commands, and accompanying documentation. - Provision infrastructure on the edge platform, working with compute, storage, SQL, vector, key-value, and streaming primitives. - Build an AI orchestration layer with an MCP server and agent tooling that can provision and connect platform services from natural-language requests. - Own reliability work such as live-platform tests, edge SQLite migrations, observability, and incident response. - Engage directly with developers, write documentation and examples, and translate feedback into roadmap changes.
Requirements - Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills with real production experience using Next.js (App Router) and serverless or edge runtimes. - Comfort with SQL and data modeling; familiarity with SQLite, Postgres, or vector databases is a plus. - Experience integrating third-party platforms such as payments or cloud APIs and designing clean public APIs and SDKs. - A shipping mindset with demonstrable launched projects linked through a GitHub or portfolio. - Effective written communication for docs, examples, and developer-facing content.
Nice to have - Background in MCP or agent tooling, developer tools, infrastructure, or notable open-source contributions.
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first, async-friendly culture with quarterly in-person meetings in New York. - Competitive salary plus early-team equity, discussed in the first conversation. - Direct ownership of several services rather than narrowly scoped tickets.
