MCP Protocol Engineer

Role overview Design the infrastructure that lets AI models interact with tools, data, and execution environments through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The role covers protocol services, secure execution, schema validation, and coordination across agents.

Responsibilities - Build and maintain high-performance MCP servers that connect models to code, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise data. - Create sandboxed environments for safely running untrusted agent tools. - Extend protocols to support streaming, binary data, and distributed MCP deployments. - Develop SDKs for creating and hosting MCP servers.

Requirements - Experience designing protocols and RPC systems such as gRPC, JSON-RPC, server-sent events, or WebSockets. - Knowledge of type-safe schema validation, for example JSON Schema or Protobuf. - Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or Rust. - Experience with secure execution environments such as containers, Firecracker, or WebAssembly. - Care for developer experience, clear documentation, and robust error handling.

Nice to have - Contributions to the MCP open-source ecosystem or agent frameworks. - Experience with identity, authentication, or capability-based authorization.
