About this role
Role overview Lead and grow a US engineering organization building secure, reliable products for complex construction workflows. The role spans web, AI, and platform initiatives: you’ll set technical direction and operating practices, develop the team, and work with product and business leaders to turn customer problems into scalable solutions. Close coordination with engineering teams in Japan and Vietnam is part of the remit.
Responsibilities - Lead delivery across web, AI, and platform work, aligning technical solutions with customer and business needs. - Set architecture and technical strategy for applications, AI-enabled workflows, integrations, data models, and platform systems. - Hire, coach, and develop US engineers, and establish clear standards for technical ownership and growth. - Create practical development processes that improve execution, visibility, and management of risks and dependencies. - Build effective cross-time-zone collaboration with global engineering teams through shared standards, clear ownership, and reliable handoffs. - Encourage a culture of customer empathy, ownership, urgency, and engineering quality.
Requirements - At least 15 years of product engineering experience across web, platform, AI, and related areas. - Broad technical background spanning frontend, backend, data, integrations, and platform systems. - Experience leading engineering teams and making architecture and execution decisions. - Ability to translate customer and operational needs into scalable product and technical plans. - Experience collaborating across multinational engineering teams. - Strong hands-on leadership, ownership, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
Nice to have Experience scaling engineering in an early-stage or high-growth company, and familiarity with Japan–US or APAC–US collaboration.
