Forward Deployed Backend Software Engineer

Role overview Design backend foundations that turn construction domain requirements into secure, dependable systems. You’ll build reusable data structures, APIs, and services that support AI-powered product features and connect with customer infrastructure, while helping the team deliver quickly and improve based on user feedback.

Responsibilities - Design and build APIs, data structures, and backend systems that meet functional and operational needs. - Translate domain and business rules into maintainable system designs. - Collaborate across disciplines to integrate AI capabilities into products and address user needs. - Consider technical performance and cost when shaping product solutions. - Use user feedback and system metrics to guide ongoing improvements. - Evaluate relevant tools and technologies as the product evolves.

Requirements - At least five years of software development experience in a fast-moving technology environment. - At least four years building backend systems for products. - Strong proficiency in Go or Rust. - Effective collaboration, documentation, and written communication skills.

Nice to have Experience improving system performance for AI serving.
