Senior Mobile Engineer

Role overview Provide senior technical direction for an Android app, with a focus on growing readership and subscription revenue. You will build mobile experiences, shape architecture, and work closely with growth, marketing, sponsorship, and conversion teams to run measurable experiments and make routine product changes safer for non-engineering partners to manage.

Responsibilities - Set technical direction for Android experiences that support user acquisition and subscription conversion. - Build and ship app features using Kotlin and modern Android practices. - Turn growth and conversion hypotheses into experiments, with reliable measurement and clear evaluation of results. - Improve self-serve tooling so partner teams can update landing pages, subscription screens, and offers with appropriate safeguards. - Evolve subscription, experimentation, analytics, and customer data tooling. - Set standards for performance, accessibility, instrumentation, code review, and architecture. - Manage production releases using feature flags, monitoring, and risk controls for revenue-critical areas.

Requirements - Demonstrated results growing users and revenue through mobile products. - Deep production experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Firebase, and RevenueCat. - Experience partnering with a conversion optimization team and using mobile A/B or multivariate testing. - Familiarity with self-serve experimentation or subscription tooling and safe rollout practices. - Ability to maintain trustworthy end-to-end funnel analytics; PostHog is valued, with Amplitude or Segment as alternatives. - Strong collaboration skills and confidence serving as a senior technical voice across teams.

Nice to have - Experience coaching or mentoring engineers. - Background with subscription products or consumer media.
