A senior full stack engineering position focused on building employer-facing talent matching and discovery experiences. Responsibilities

- Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape requirements and ship end-to-end features for talent matching and rediscovery workflows. - Design and build search-backed capabilities using OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing strategies, query design, relevance tuning, ranking improvements, and semantic retrieval patterns. - Develop matching systems that combine keyword, structured, and semantic signals, applying techniques such as embeddings, similarity search, classification, and ranking to improve match quality. - Collaborate with applied ML and cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate trade-offs across relevance, latency, reliability, infrastructure cost, and user trust. - Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, lead thorough code reviews, and contribute to team engineering practices and project leadership. - Contribute across the full stack, from backend services, APIs, and data modeling to modern frontend interfaces.

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience writing production code in a full-stack capacity. - Deep production experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing, query design, relevance tuning, and performance trade-offs. - Hands-on experience with Ruby, C#, Java, or Python, with Ruby on Rails preferred. - Strong JavaScript or TypeScript fundamentals, including React. - Practical experience applying AI or ML techniques in production, such as embeddings, semantic search, classification, or ranking. - Experience building search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems, and collaborating with Product and Design in ambiguous user-facing problem spaces.

- Remote-first organization with shared office spaces available in select cities and optional co-working flexibility. - National pay range of $117,500 to $164,500 CAD, with individual compensation commensurate with experience. - Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including stock option awards, bonuses, merit increases, and, where applicable, sales commissions under the relevant plan. - Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada as of the chosen start date.
