About this role
Role overview Design, build, and own scalable backend services for a sports mathematics product line, shaping architecture decisions across microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native systems. The role blends hands-on coding with mentorship, technical leadership, and continuous improvement of engineering practices within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities - Architect scalable, resilient services using microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native approaches aligned with product and business goals. - Write, test, and debug complex code for new and existing applications, delivering production-ready releases on time. - Lead code reviews to uphold quality, security, and consistency with established engineering standards. - Mentor junior engineers and partner cross-functionally with product, design, and operations to align delivery with priorities. - Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, evaluate new tools and methods, and drive improvements to development practices and SDLC processes. - Produce clear technical documentation and communicate progress, trade-offs, and concepts to stakeholders.
Requirements - Strong track record designing scalable .NET systems with microservices, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native principles. - Advanced C# skills, RESTful API development, asynchronous programming, and command of patterns such as DDD, CQRS, and circuit breaker. - Proficiency in SQL optimization, data modeling, indexing, and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases. - Hands-on experience with Kafka, high-load system tuning, caching strategies, and distributed computing. - Solid CI/CD expertise, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation. - Strong focus on automated testing (xUnit, NUnit), observability (Serilog, Application Insights), and secure coding practices. - Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and influence technical decisions in Agile teams. - Upper-Intermediate+ English plus B2+ Ukrainian or Russian.
Nice to have - Experience leading or managing software development projects. - Familiarity with Azure or AWS and designing cloud-native services. - Background improving software development practices and SDLC processes.
